Hosted by training and consulting provided Intelligence Rising, this five-day Advanced Intelligence Tradecraft Intensive brings world-class analytic training to Sydney, led by Dr Donald Pruefer: a leading international intelligence expert who has worked with multiple leading intelligence institutions including U.S. Homeland Security. Programs of this calibre are rarely accessible outside of closed intelligence environments. Delivered in a practical, scenario-driven format, this intensive focuses on strengthening the cognitive capability of participants including how they think, challenge assumptions, test hypotheses, and communicate under pressure. This means it is applicable to practitioners from all sectors including national security, investigations, regulation, gaming, commercial, law enforcement etc. Participants will apply structured analytic techniques in real time, culminating in the delivery of a defensible decision-maker briefing. Inevstigations and intelligence have always been symbiotic. In roles where there is no intelligence support function, the investigator takes on the role (whether they know it or not). In fact, many original intelligence field officer traits are now considered mandatory aspects of an investigators toolkit including source management, source validation, surveillance etc.
