Two weeks from now the World Association of Detectives opens its 101st annual conference in Cannes — six days on the Côte d'Azur, 1–6 September, at Le Gray d'Albion.
It is the biggest week of the investigations calendar, and it is not travelling alone. The Council of International Investigators holds its AGM in Prague the very same week, 1–6 September, and the SNARP AGM joins WAD in Cannes on 2 September.
A century-old association does not reach 101 editions by accident. WAD's annual conference is where the international referral network actually gets built — the dinners, the corridor conversations, the introductions that turn into cross-border casework years later.
If you make one European trip this year, this is the week to make it.
Both events are on the calendar with dates, venues and organiser links — and if you are going, mark yourself as attending so colleagues can find you there.
