Private investigator licensing in Ghana
Yes. Private investigators need a licence in Ghana.
Ghana licenses private investigation through its private security organisations regime: L.I. 751 bars any organisation from undertaking "private investigations as to facts or the character of any person" without a licence from the Minister for the Interior. Licences go to the organisation, which applies to the Ministry of the Interior with Personality Note Forms for its directors and can be licensed only on national-security and public-interest grounds. People with felony, fraud or dishonesty convictions, or any prison sentence, may not own, control or work for a licensed organisation.1
