No specific licence

Private investigator licensing in Jordan

No. Jordan has no specific private investigator licence.

Jordan has no law that licenses private investigators, and the official legislation database has no title on private investigation. Investigation services are a closed sector for foreigners: non-Jordanians and companies registered abroad may not own or take part in 'investigation and security services', wholly or partly (Investment Environment Regulation 2023, Art. 13(a)(2)). Private guarding needs a Ministry of the Interior licence, but those companies must be limited to protection and guarding at fixed sites and in cash-transport vehicles (2023 Instructions, Arts. 2, 3 and 5), so that regime does not cover investigation.4
