Private investigator licensing in Cameroon

No. Cameroon has no specific private investigator licence.

Cameroon has no law that licenses private investigators or investigation agencies. The only private security licence, a presidential agrément under Law No. 97/021 (Art. 7), covers guarding property and protecting the people linked to it (Art. 2), not investigation. Investigators therefore work as ordinary registered businesses, subject to general criminal, privacy and personal data law.1
