Private investigator licensing in Kuwait
No. Kuwait has no specific private investigator licence.
No Kuwaiti law or Ministry of Interior rule licensing private investigators was found. The Ministry of Interior's licensing rules list only four security activities that need its approval: transport and guarding of valuables and cash, guarding companies, security training institutes, and import and installation of security equipment; licence holders must be Kuwaiti and hold at least 51% of the capital. Investigation is not on that list, and no official source says whether it may be run as an ordinary business. Law No. 61 of 2015 (amended by Decree-Law No. 76 of 2026) regulates security cameras.1
