Private investigator licensing in Fiji

No. Fiji has no specific private investigator licence.

Fiji does not license private investigators as such. The Security Industry Act 2010 requires master, individual or provisional licences from the Security Industry Licensing and Registration Board for 'security activities' (ss. 13-14), but the list in s. 3 covers bodyguarding, crowd control, guarding or watching property, security equipment, security advice and training, and does not mention investigation. An investigator whose work strays into guarding or watching property, or who offers security advice, may need a licence, and the Board can add activities by Gazette notice (s. 3(l)); otherwise investigation runs as an ordinary business.4
