Private investigator licensing in Albania

No. Albania has no specific private investigator licence.

Albania has no law licensing private detectives or investigation agencies. The private security law (Law 75/2014) licenses only the physical protection of premises, people and events and the escort of valuables in transit (Arts. 2-3), not investigation. In February 2021 Parliament refused to adopt a bill amending Law 75/2014 (Decision No. 13/2021), so investigation runs as an ordinary business, subject to privacy, personal data and criminal law.3
